Poppy slept for 2 and a half hours yesterday afternoon, in fact she was still asleep when Grandad arrived home from work so it was him who went up to fetch her when we heard her stirring. She had obviously only just woken up so when she came down she was still sleepy and had to sit on my lap for a cuddle for a while until she came round properly. Although she smiled at him, she would not entertain the idea of sitting on Grandads lap. Grandma seems to be for cuddles, Grandad is to play with!
When Poppy had woken up properly she went off out into the garden with Grandad and then wanted to take her dolly for a walk in the pram. Unfortunately they had only been gone ten minutes or so and it began to rain so they were forced to return, much to Poppys chagrin as she did not want to come in! We distracted her with her toys and realising she was probably hungry we put the tea on. Emma arrived as she was eating her tea and she was very pleased to see her mummy, she kept telling her she was having her tea!
Just remembered a funny incident from when Pops was playing with the sandpit in the morning, she was picking up handfuls of sand and throwing them on the patio.
"No Poppy" I said to her, you will have no sand left."
When she did it again, I said "no Poppy, thats naughty, you won`t have any sand" and she looked at me and laughed, then said
"no, its not funny!!"
